  5. Dear Sir,

I hope this letter finds you well.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation for the effort your team has put into recognizing outstanding contributions to the global scientific community through the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List. It is truly a great honor for those who are included, and the list serves as an important source of motivation and inspiration for researchers around the world.

I am writing to inquire about the reasons why my name, Haitham M. Yousof, was not included in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 lists. As a dedicated researcher with significant contributions to my field, I was surprised to learn of my omission. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or clarification as to why this may have occurred.

I have published several papers in reputable journals (166 paper in Scopus journal with h-index=34 in Scopus and Citations=3,484 in Scopus), some of which have been cited extensively, and I have contributed meaningfully to various aspects of my discipline. I am genuinely interested in understanding if there are any specific criteria or metrics where my profile did not meet the required standards, and if there are ways in which I can improve to be considered in the future.

Once again, I sincerely appreciate your time, efforts and great attention to this matter.
I look forward to your response and any insights you may provide.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the scientific community.

    All the best,
    Haitham M. Yousof

    • Dear Professor,
I hope this letter finds you well.
Since the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List started 2020, my name was included in this important list.
It is truly a great honor for those who are included, and the list serves as a source of good motivation and inspiration for researchers around the world.
I am writing to inquire about the reasons why my name is not included this time in the 2024 list. As a dedicated researcher with significant contributions to my field, I was surprised to learn of my omission.I would greatly appreciate any feedback or clarification as others in my institution are included this year despite they have no publication since 2014 till 2023 for example. I greatly appreciate any feedback about my case.
Thank you for your continuous support of the scientific community.
      With my best regards
      Heakal, F. El Taib,Ph.D., FAAS
      Scopus Publications 113, Citations 3203, H index 31

      • Niraj Tripathi

        Dear Heakal
There should be a database of those who are working as Research Scholars and doing good research works in their respective fields.

  6. My name is not included in the list, however the others names with less h index present in the list from the same institute

  7. Academics

The list is excellent. However, some papers have many co-authors and these have not been appropriately considered.

    • Hossain

My name is not included in the list: MD Shouquat Hossain (M.S. Hossain)

    • Muhammad Zia Ullah Shah

      please send me list

  8. Mohammad Shahadat Hossain

My scopus h-index is 30 and scopus citation is 2546
My scopus author id is 55871122455
Could you please check why am I not included in the top2% scintist while people with less h-index and citations have been includded?

  9. Mona A. Abdel-Fatah

    Please send me list

  10. Ahmed Salama (A. A. Salama)

    Please send me list

  11. Hossain

What kind of system is? Cannot register. Always error and not finding page.

  12. Ham dam

Being on the list or not does not represent your research quality. In the last few years, many authors just publish trash papers, huge numbers, open access, and get a lot of citations! Check Google scholar and see how some authors even in their PhD study publish 50-100 papers!!!!! is this even ethical?
and many “researchers” within a year got 200 papers!
    So this index became meaningless!

    • Y. Pan

Although my name is on the list, I totally agree with your opinion. I have seen some colleagues in the field published several hundred papers, although some are poor and simply waste readers time, but it helps citation numbers and h-index because if you have hundreds of students (indeed, this is often what happens), easy get many citations as they (as a group) cite their own papers. These days, no matter what way they rank (I think the research.com’s method is even worse), it is often simply unfair. With AI technology today, I just wish they could develop better measures based on more factors. Otherwise, it is not an inspiration to some hard working scientists, rather disappointing them!

  13. My name is included in the top 2% scientists list.
But I am not being able to claim my profile or register.
It is showing, “The service is unavailable.”

    Please solve the issue.

  14. Palash Dutta

    Hi Good afternoon
    Hope every thing is well.
I searched my name at https://topresearcherslist.com/ this link and it was appearing there, but when I tried to claim, the link, it didn’t open, showing the message “service unavailable”.

  15. Chenhai Li

Hello, as for scientists “Li, Peng” and”Ji, Haoran”, their inst_name “Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China” are both wrong. The right inst_name are both “Tianjin University”. Please check and revise it. It’s very important for us, thanks.

    • The Data is from SCOPUS, your institute at their website is reflected in the list.

  16. My name was included in the list. But affiliation is different (my alma matter) than my employer university. How can I fix this issue?
    Thanks for your kind attention.

  17. Marnise

Hello, Where can i download the Certificate? Please let me know.

  18. MM

This list is not transparent; almost a joke. People (in the same sub field) with google scholar H-index 8 points lower than me are listed.

  19. Madhava

This list is not justified. There are transperancy issues. People with 8 points lower H-index are listed. I have about 80 SCI papers including two first authored papers in Science. Still not listed.

  20. Malik Yousef

I am Dr. Malik Yousef, and I would like to inquire about my c-score based on my research profile on Scopus. Here are some details for reference:

    Name: Yousef, Malik
Scopus Author ID: [Your Scopus Author ID, if available]
    Citations: 3,261 (from 2,741 documents)
    Total Publications: 101
    h-index: 23
Could you please provide information on my c-score or guide me on how to obtain it?

    Thank you for your assistance.

  21. Dr Anurag Gaur

My name is Dr Anurag Gaur, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra (14040136100, https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3432-2740)
As per Scopus Data, I had published 120 research articles, h-index 27, citations: 2245. As per Google Scholar, I had published 120 research articles, h-index 32, i-10 index 87, citations: 3210.

I am surprised to know that my name is not included in the list while other researchers very low research profile in terms of citations and h-index are included.
This raises the questions on the analysis of the data and this is injustice with the genuine researchers while non deserving people are included in the list.

Therefore, you are requested to rectify such errors to maintain the sancity and wide acceptance of this list.
Further, I greatly appreciate any feedback about my case.

    regards
    Dr Anurag Gaur

  23. Dear Sir,

I am writing to know about the criteria of selection for the top 2% scientists.

I have published several papers in reputable journals (139 paper in Scopus journal with h-index=31 in Scopus and Citations=2649 in Scopus), some of which have been cited extensively, and I have contributed meaningfully to various aspects of my discipline. I am genuinely interested in understanding if there are any specific criteria or metrics where my profile did not meet the required standards, and if there are ways in which I can improve to be considered in the future.

How does one correct the country on their listing. Mine is listed in Mexico, which is an error.

    • The data is mainly from the SCOPUS, so whatever country or institute is there, that would be reflected in the list.

  25. I highly appreciate your best efforts to inform the scientific community about their worldwide 2% ranking in respective research areas. May I know the criteria of selection under 2% ranking based on citations, h-index and i10-index.

  26. To the top2percentscientists.com webmaster, Keep up the good work, admin!

  27. Dr Sudip Bhattacharya

  29. Xue Ren

To the top2percentscientists.com webmaster, I appreciate your continued support of the scientific community. May I ask if you are a team from Elsevier or Stanford University.

  30. A. B. M. Saiful Islam

Where is the option in that link?

  31. JAIN, NARENDRA KUMAR

My name is listed under affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal (India) where I served for less than two years hence, this affiliation may kindly be replaced with Dr. H.S.Gour Vishwavidyala, SAGAR (India) where I spent nearly four decades and have settled at this place post- retirement.

  32. Alex

“1. Search for your name or your school’s name”
Can you please advise how to filter or search for all researchers in an institution as there is no option to do this in the searchable database? If I enter my institution, it says there are no results, but individuals at this institution do show up when searched for individually. It seems to be only search names.

    • This feature has been temporarily paused and will be resumed shortly.

  33. Hiram Ting

    Greetings.

I am delighted to find my name included on the list as attached.

However, my affiliation should be i-CATS University College in Sarawak, Malaysia as shown on the university’s website: https://icats.edu.my/FTH/staff-profiles/.

I wonder if the correction on my affiliation could be made as it would mean a lot to my university college. Thank you for your consideration.

Looking forward to your favourable reply. Thank you.

    (2) Please, can Scopus help me merge it or correct it? So that it can be one ID, so that I can be recognised correctly on my published papers.

    (3) Currently, all my research group members are found in the list of the World’s best scientists except me, and profiles such as my citations, my h-index and i10-index as well as publications are more than their own.
    (4) As at today 14th October 2024, my Citations is 4,926, h-index is 19 and i10-index is 26

that is where you will find my full name as Dr. Abiodun Esther Oludare Omolara Dada
Please, help me check in your database and correct it.

    (7) Before I got married my article bears Dada Esther Omolara. But my name changed after I got married. I have now included my husband’s name and I now bear Abiodun Esther Oludare Omolara Dada.

    (8) My affiliation: University of Abuja

    (9) Could you please check why am I not included in the top 2% and include me in the next year?

The list / criteria disregards and even marginalises interdisciplinary work – which is probably the most important and needed aspect nowadays.; it primarily promotes scientists who specialize in a single domain.

Ioannidis could consider creating alternative indices to better recognize scientists who work across multiple disciplines – or even create new ones.
