Setting up your social profile takes just five simple steps.

- Tip: If your name is already listed in the database, you must use your official university email. However, if you are building a profile from scratch and your name is not on the list, you are permitted to use a personal email (like Gmail) to register.
Step 2: Activate Your Profile
Check your email inbox for a confirmation message sent by [email protected]. Click the verification link inside to activate your brand-new account, then log into the website.
Step 3: Open Your Profile Settings
Once logged in, click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select “Social Profile” or navigate to your personal dashboard to see your customizable fields.
Step 4: Populate Your Professional Timeline
This dashboard acts like a specialized CV for scientists. You can easily expand your profile by clicking the plus icon (+) next to these core sections:
- About: Write a brief biography highlighting your academic journey, research goals, or a quick summary of your expertise.
- Experience: Click the
+icon to log your professional roles, including your job title (e.g., Admin, Researcher, Professor), organization name (e.g., DATAMETA LAB), timeline, and geographic location. - Education: Document your academic milestones, including your degrees, universities attended, and graduation dates.
- Skills: List your core scientific competencies, laboratory methods, or specialized technical software.
- Key Publications: Feature your most impactful journal articles, conference papers, or book chapters so visitors can immediately see your contributions to the field.
Step 5: Save and Share
Double-check all your text fields for typos, hit Save, and your custom profile is ready to share with the global scientific community.
